Los partidos Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD) y Fuerza del Pueblo firmaron este lunes una alianza opositora en los tres niveles de elección: congresual, municipal y presidencial para concurrir juntos en las elecciones del 2024.
En un acto, en el que el intermediario de este acuerdo, Miguel Vargas Maldonado, asumió la vocería, se enarboló “la Alianza opositora para el rescate de la República Dominicana”. Vargas Maldonado dijo que la finalidad de la unión es "devolverle el desarrollo al país", al indicar que el cambio prometido por el gobierno del Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) ha representado retroceso en estos tres años.

Alianza en 86 alcaldías y 150 distritos municipales, con lo cual la alianza cubre, en esta primera etapa, 236 territorios, lo que equivale al 60% del territorio nacional.
En la primera ronda de conversaciones de este acuerdo tripartito, los firmantes acodaron ir aliados con candidaturas senatoriales comunes en tres provincias: Hato Mayor, Barahona y Hermanas Mirabal. En La Romana solo irán juntos PRD-PLD.
Además, Vargas Maldonado anunció que los tres partidos participarán aliados en 86 alcaldías y 150 distritos municipales. Por tanto, en esta primera etapa, el acuerdo cubre la representación de 236 localidades.
